BOONE COUNTY (9-14) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Boone County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.

The purpose of this project is to widen 4.4 miles of U.S. Highway 65, form Maxie Camp Rd. westward to State Highway 206.

Nabholz Construction Corporation of Rogers was awarded the contract at $22,942,315.85.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2021.
