Construction Requires Lane Closures on Rodney Parham Road at Interstate 630 in Little Rock

PULASKI COUNTY (02-19) – Construction to widen Interstate 630 requires lane closures on Rodney Parham Road at Interstate 630 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will close Rodney Parham Road below the I-630 bridge from Friday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m. to Monday, February 24 at 6:00 a.m. to remove bridge decking and paint structural steel. Detours will direct Rodney Parham Road traffic to University Avenue to bypass the closure (See attached map). Barricades will be used to close the road. No I-630 ramps will be affected during this closure.
Neighborhoods adjacent to the interstate may experience nighttime and daytime noise impacts during the work. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone.
This project (Job CA0608) is part of ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program, which is funded through a 10-year, half-cent sales tax. Interstate 630 is being widened to four lanes in each direction (eight total) for 2.2 miles between the Big Rock Interchange and University Avenue.
